We would like to encourage you in your walk with Christ and will
now be asking the following questions daily.
Your
reports are due every Monday and Thursday. Please clearly distinguish your responses by providing
a
date with each comment or by using a separate report for each day, though you
only need to fax them
twice
a week. These reports can be used to
journal your spiritual growth as we walk through More than
Recovery.
First, an
explanation about ‘feasting’and what it means...
‘Feasting’ is
a biblical principle, without which there is no hope of freedom from sin's
grip! Feasting is reading our Bibles, but it is more than that; it is a term to
express the nourishing of our souls in Jesus Christ. It means that we are
sitting at the feet of Jesus, hearing His Word and believing, for the
purpose of implementing the truths into our lives.
It means we are receiving
spiritual nourishment and that we are delighting our souls in His grace and
truth. This can be done by reading our Bibles, devotions, hearing God's
Word preached, interacting with others, studying the Scriptures deeply, reading biblically based
books, journeying through ‘More than
Recovery’ with me...etc.
Feasting is important because if
we merely turn away from sin, we will be empty and open to either returning to
our sin or experiencing sinful bondage in other areas (see Luke 11:24-26).
Feasting is that which makes us full and overflowing with God's grace and
truth. See Jeremiah 15:16 and John 6:50-58 for more information.
