Once upon a time a third grade boy was given an assignment from his school teacher to write a story about his best friend.

He told his teacher that he would write his story about Jesus.  The teacher's response was -it has to be a story about a "real" person.  The boy argued that Jesus is real and was eventually allowed to write and turn his paper in; but when it came time for each of the students to read their stories out loud the boy was passed over.

A few days later the boy died and went to Heaven.  He was taken into the Throne Room of Jesus, his very best friend, who was and is and will always be the King of kings!  As the boy entered, an angel, carrying a scroll to the platform, called the boy's name.

With a little anticpation, that on Earth would have been considered  anxiety - but in Heaven there is nothing to fear - the boy  approached the platform where an angel handed him the scroll.  It was his essay.  The angel instructed the boy to read his story.

Smiling, the boy read about his bestfriend Jesus and the love they shared.  The throne room was silent in awe  of such love that Jesus expressed for the boy and the boy returned; what a wonder, this friendship, the two  shared together.

When the boy finished, the silence was interuped immediately as Jesus stood to appauld.  In one pair of divine hands clapping and one voice gleefully laughing with joy the heavens exploded in waves of thunder and worlds shook in cresendoing applause!

The Thunderous
Applause of Heaven!
