Over the past year our precious Lord has been moving us in a new direction.  I am unsure what that direction entails completely.  No!  I am not disbanding NHE or our ministry projects with the hidden or open Gay Communities.  POWER of Purity will continue and our new Internet Support Groups ‘More than Recovery’ will launch the first week of June.  But there is a new but really a very old menace on the block that has been building strength and support these past few decades.  This article addresses my concerns and my prayers as to how I am to involve myself, my family, and NHE or simply not offer a public response at all.

The issue has been addressed by the American Family Association, Dr. Kennedy with Coral Ridge Ministries, and was released in “the weekly Standard” in an article written by Dr. Maggie Gallagher on May 15, 2206.  The issue is being talked about in almost every circle, especially lawyers and policy makers on a state and federal level.  Yes!  I am referring to the battlefield of sexual and orientation discrimination issues that are rocking our courts and the laws that most of us have held dear or simply taken for granite.

I want to address several laws and rulings being used to catapult us into a new era of values.  First, there is Goodridge being the Massachusetts supreme court decision that legalized gay marriage.  Second, believe it or not Roe vs. Wade still plays a role in arenas outside the scope of abortion.  Third, Bob Jones University vs. United States, which invokes heated debate over IRS authority in non profit Christian organization.  There are numerous others which we may list in reference.  But the ONE issue I would like to get across is passivity MUST be checked with BIBLICAL truth!  Folks, this is really up to us.  NewHeart Expressions has several options on how to approach displacing lie for truth and biblically addressing these issues.  There are several things needed for this to be put into place.  One, the funding needs to be raised to present a real effective influence.  Two, a team of thinkers and doers need to be brought together to access the best strategies to accomplish the greatest result.  Three, I need to spend some time with the Lord about how to proceed.  I have ignored this issue for some time because I am not a politician nor do I want to be a biblical counselor with a political agenda.  As a matter a fact, if I lack compassion for anyone whose goal is to be the “political preacher”.  The only one who holds my respect is Dr. D. James Kennedy.  I see most political preachers as Pharisees, rivals of our precious Lord Jesus. 

But I can not stand by any longer without voicing truth into a battlefield dubbed as explosive to religious and Christian liberty in this country and across this planet.
